Summer Camp Mallorca

Take advantage of the summer months to improve your language skills with the best professionals. Our great team of native and dynamic teachers will help you achieve your goals. We teach  with an activity-oriented approach and pursue a communicative learning approach.

In collaboration with the Club Náutico Arenal (CNA) you will have the opportunity to learn different water sports. Sailing, windsurfing or SUP.

The CNA offers specific courses for children and teenagers.

Together with the teacher, you discuss your goals and needs, where and when you wish to participate in the classes and how much time you want to invest. The classes take place at our location in Wallisellen/Dübendorf. You can even save the time-consuming traveling to the language school because we also offer classes at your home or in your office. You learn your desired language in familiar surroundings. 

Further goals are defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment (CEFR). In class we stimulate effective and sustainable learning. The newly learned knowledge can be applied on new and unusual situations. Conscious and intensive practice is tied up with the current level of knowledge.

Transfer of learning

The language is an instrument to communicate. In everyday life the conversations are not always slowly and clearly spoken and conversation partners use different varieties of language. We will prepare you accordingly. You learn different verbal expressions, oral and written, to be able to react in different situations such as working environment, on holidays or in everyday life. These expressions are developped from your individual goals and completed with the teaching materials used. In various conversation situations you practice your speaking skills.

Through an adequate mixing of different speakers, speaking rate and conversation situations you improve your listening skills. 

Moreover we offer the possibility to accomodate training of specific vocabulary related to your needs.

Additionally, the transfer of learning is supported by different forms of grammar exercises. Diversified, constant and challanging practice is an important part of the class. 

Learning method and forms of teaching

abc sprachen teaches with an activity-oriented approach and pursues a communicative learning approach. In class we encourage self-reliant and lasting learning.

You discuss with the teacher, if and how much time you use for homework.

We will show you further exercise possibilites that will be used in class or that you can use independently, i.e. online exercises, radio broadcast, practical and need-oriented tasks.

The teacher creates a diversified class that matches your needs and uses different teaching techniques such as simulation of a situation, games, self-study, project work, different exercises for speaking, listening, grammar, reading, writing, vocabulary, etc.

Diploma

On completion of the class you receive a school certificate. This documents the level according to CEFR, how many classes you have studied and the duration of the class.

If you would like an internationally recognised certificate, we offer telc (The European Langauge Certificate) language certificates.

As a licenced telc exemination center we offer preparation classes and we carry out the exam at our location in Wallisellen/Dübendorf. Specific teaching material prepares to the exam. The telc certificate proofs your language level according to CEFR and can open new doors: at work, at universit or in everyday life. An overview of examination dates is available here.

Costs, duration and terms and conditions

In our school, you get more for your money. One lesson takes 60 minutes. The course materials are included in the price.
